Scope of work
Our scope covered the steel frames of the industrial unit shell:
- Mechanical sanding of the steel frames to prepare the surface
- Spray application of a specialist combined primer and decorative finish
Preparing the steel
Coatings perform best on a clean, sound surface. The steel frames were mechanically sanded to prepare them for coating before any product was applied.
A combined primer and finish
Rather than applying a separate primer and topcoat, a specialist combined product was used that acts as both the primer and the decorative finish. Spray application allowed the coating to be applied efficiently across the frames of the shell.
The result
The steel frames of the industrial unit were completed with a sprayed combined primer and decorative finish.
